On Friday, May 23rd, members of the Recycling Commission visited J.P. Mascaro and Sons’ TotalRecycle Facility in Birdsboro, PA. According to its website, the TotalRecycle Facility is a “state-of-the-art single-stream recycle facility” that “contains cutting-edge technology that allows for the precise sorting and processing of recyclable materials.”

While it is based in Berks County, the facility is capable of reaching clients in Montgomery County, Bucks County, Chester County, and others, as well as reaching New Jersey and Delaware. Members of the Commission who attended this tour found it especially informative of the recycling process and thank J.P. Mascaro and Sons’ for the opportunity to experience this unique and educational trip.
